Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – October 17, 2025 – The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), proudly announce the upcoming Vietnam–Japan Hydrogen Workshop 2025, themed “Hydrogen Wellness – Application of Hydrogen for Healthcare.” The event will take place in Ho Chi Minh City and is set to highlight groundbreaking hydrogen-based therapeutic technologies from Japan while fostering collaborations with Vietnamese healthcare institutions.

As the transportation and logistics industries face rising fuel costs and stricter environmental regulations, hydrogen has emerged as an innovative solution to improve the efficiency of existing diesel and gasoline engines.

This seminar introduces hydrogen injection technology—a proven system that blends small amounts of hydrogen into conventional internal combustion engines. This approach reduces fuel consumption, cuts greenhouse gas emissions, and improves engine performance without requiring a complete switch to fuel-cell vehicles.

Leading experts and technology providers will present real-world case studies, technical demonstrations, and partnership opportunities to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen retrofits in logistics fleets, marine vessels, airport ground vehicles, and rail transport.

Ho Chi Minh City, July 16, 2025 – During the Vietnam – Korea Hydrogen Workshop 2025, the presentation by Mr. Nguyen Thien Binh, founder of HB-GREEN, offered a practical and grounded perspective: that hydrogen deployment doesn’t always require megawatt-scale projects or billion-dollar infrastructure — it can start with small, flexible, on-site equipment built for real-world needs.

Dr. Tran Thanh Tam closed his presentation by reminding participants that Vietnam’s climate journey is not a sprint—but a generational commitment. Net-Zero by 2050 is not a rhetorical finish line, but a “strategic anchor” that will shape national planning, institutional reform, and international positioning for decades.

His remarks resonated deeply with the audience, many of whom recognized the presentation as a clear roadmap—not only for Vietnam’s transition, but as a model for other ASEAN nations seeking to navigate the complexities of climate ambition, energy security, and green growth.

At the Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 16, 2025, Dr. Nguyen Huu Luong from the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) delivered a keynote presentation titled "Green Hydrogen Development in Vietnam: Potentials and Challenges." His comprehensive, data-driven analysis provided both Vietnamese and international delegates with a realistic and ambitious perspective on how Vietnam could develop a viable green hydrogen industry within the next few decades.

Ho Chi Minh City, July 16, 2025 – At the Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop co organized by the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club, HCMC University of Natural Resource and Environment and Korea Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry Association, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Hanh, from the University of Technology – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, delivered an in-depth presentation on the potential of two-dimensional (2D) materials for hydrogen storage—a crucial area of research in support of clean energy and fuel cell technology.

At the Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 16, 2025, Dr. Jae-Kyung Kim, Senior Research Fellow at the Korea Energy Economics Institute (KEEI), delivered a comprehensive presentation on South Korea’s national policies and pilot initiatives related to hydrogen fuel cells.

Ho Chi Minh City, July 16, 2025 – At the Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop 2025, Professor Jihyun Hwang from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) presented South Korea’s latest developments in hydrogen fuel cell innovation and liquid hydrogen refueling station (LHRS) deployment. These initiatives are central to the country's decarbonization roadmap in the transportation sector.

On July 16, 2025, within the framework of the Vietnam-Korea Hydrogen Workshop 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in renewable energy and hydrogen technology research. The event marks a pivotal step in Vietnam’s sustainable development and carbon reduction strategy.

Ho Chi Minh City, July 17, 2025 – On July 16, 2025, during the Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop 2025 held at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) and the Korea Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry Association (KHFCIA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic, non-binding partnership aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the hydrogen energy sector.

Ho Chi Minh City, July 16, 2025 – The Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Workshop 2025 was successfully held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), marking a major step forward in fostering bilateral cooperation on hydrogen energy between Vietnam and South Korea. The event was co-organized by HCMUNRE, the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), and the Korea Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry Association (KHFCIA), drawing the participation of numerous scientists, experts, government representatives, and business leaders from both countries.

On July 14, 2025, in Ha Tinh Province, the Petrovietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS) and Greentek Vietnam Trading, Production and Investment Co., Ltd. will jointly host a pilot test of hydrogen gas injection technology into diesel engines, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on green hydrogen supply.

The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) will co-chair the panel discussion titled “Developing Green Hydrogen Industry in Vietnam: Status and Challenges” at the Vietnam Future Energy and Grid Summit 2025 (VFEGS 2025) organized by BUiM Group.

Ho Chi Minh City, June 27, 2025 — The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) successfully hosted a high-level seminar titled “Clean Hydrogen: Technology & Solutions for Hard-to-Abate Industries – Feasibility & Financing Guidance for Hydrogen Projects in Vietnam and ASEAN” at the Lion City Group headquarters, 42 Le Anh Xuan Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event brought together experts from Vietnam, China, Japan, and the EU to share best practices, technologies, and project development insights for the growing hydrogen economy in Southeast Asia.
