Ho Chi Minh City, September 26, 2025 – United Hydrogen (UH2) and Indel Petro have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the development of a hydrogen production project chain in Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa provinces, contributing to the expansion of Vietnam’s clean energy ecosystem and the broader ASEAN hydrogen economy.

Ho Chi Minh City, September 26, 2025 – United Hydrogen (UH2) and Anh Tam Law Office officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a strategic partnership in legal consultancy for hydrogen projects in Vietnam.

HO CHI MINH CITY – Against the backdrop of a world rapidly accelerating its energy transition, the “United Hydrogen – Bringing Hydrogen Into Industrialization in Vietnam and ASEAN” conference held on September 26, 2025, became a gathering place for the region’s hydrogen community. Policymakers, transportation–industrial–port operators, financial investors, and research institutes came together to discuss the pathway toward realizing a hydrogen economy.

As the global energy transition accelerates, pressure is mounting on nations to reduce carbon emissions and pivot towards low-carbon economies. Vietnamese enterprises are no exception – they must secure energy supplies while seizing opportunities from the green transformation. Indel Petro, a key member of Indel Corp, is positioning itself as one of Vietnam’s pioneers in this “dual transition”: optimizing its traditional petroleum business while boldly investing in hydrogen, LNG, and wind energy.

The global transportation sector is undergoing a pivotal transformation as decarbonization becomes a pressing priority for governments and businesses worldwide. Commercial vehicles, which account for a significant share of urban emissions, have historically lagged behind passenger vehicles in adopting new energy solutions. Wisdom Motor, a leading designer and manufacturer of zero-emission commercial vehicles, is addressing this gap by offering tailored hydrogen and battery-electric mobility solutions designed to help businesses simultaneously reduce operating costs and emissions.

The Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), funded by the Government of Japan, aims to accelerate the dissemination of CO₂ reduction technologies such as green hydrogen, renewable energy, and storage solutions.

The signing ceremony was held during the international workshop “United Hydrogen – Bringing Hydrogen into Industrialization of Vietnam and ASEAN.”

The 2025 Shenzhen eVTOL Industry Development Conference and Low-Altitude Economy Exhibition was grandly opened on September 23 at the Swallow Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center in Pingshan, Shenzhen. 

For many years, hydrogen has been primarily associated with energy and transportation applications: power generation from hydrogen, hydrogen refueling stations for fuel-cell vehicles, and long-duration energy storage solutions. However, recent scientific research has opened new avenues for hydrogen in medicine and health, particularly in its roles as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory agent, cellular protector, and supportive therapy in emergency conditions.

On September 26, 2025, at the Workshop on Hydrogen Injection Technology into Internal Combustion Engines to Reduce Fuel Consumption and Emissions, organized by the Vietnam-ASEAN Hydrogen Club in collaboration with UEF University, Dr. Đoàn Mạnh Tiến – Deputy Head of the Research & Development (R&D) Department of PetroVietnam Gas (PV GAS) – delivered an inspiring presentation outlining a comprehensive and strategic vision for the company’s green hydrogen initiatives.

The presentation "Policy Directions for Hydrogen in Transportation" by Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Lương, Senior Hydrogen Expert from the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI), at the seminar organized by the Vietnam-ASEAN Hydrogen Club and UEF University, went beyond discussing specific hydrogen injection technologies and provided a comprehensive, strategic picture of hydrogen’s role in Vietnam’s energy transition and emission reduction journey, especially in the transportation sector.
