INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY

In implementing the strategy for green energy development and realizing national commitments on energy transition, the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality (under the Ministry of Science and Technology) is proceeding with the establishment of the National Technical Committee TCVN/TC 197 – Hydrogen Technology. The National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam has issued Invitation Letter No. 706/TĐC-TC dated March 11, 2026 to the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club regarding the invitation to participate in the National Technical Committee TCVN/TC 197 – Hydrogen Technology.
This is an open call to invite agencies, enterprises, organizations and experts in the hydrogen field to participate and contribute to the development of the national standards system (TCVN), serving state management, production and business activities in the sector.
The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) respectfully announces and calls on members with expertise in hydrogen technology, renewable energy, petrochemicals, CCUS and related fields to register to participate in the above-mentioned Technical Committee, in order to:
Contribute professional knowledge and practical experience to the drafting of technical standards for the hydrogen industry in Vietnam;
Participate in the network of experts in national policy-making and standardization;
Orient the development of hydrogen technology in accordance with international standards, suitable to Vietnam’s conditions and advantages.

Deadline for registration: March 31, 2026
To register for participation, members with relevant expertise are kindly requested to:
Submit application documents (including personal information, affiliated organization, field of expertise and relevant experience) to the VAHC Secretariat via email: contact@vahc.com.vn before March 31, 2026.
The VAHC Secretariat will consolidate the list and coordinate submission to the National Committee for Standards, Metrology and Quality in accordance with regulations.
Participation in the Technical Committee is not only a responsibility toward the development of the industry, but also an opportunity for Vietnamese experts to jointly establish foundational technical standards, enabling the hydrogen sector to develop systematically, coherently and in integration with global practices.
