Dr. Oanh concluded her presentation with a powerful message: "If energy only changes color, it's a technological transformation. If people's income, ownership rights, and futures all change, it's a transformation of the development model." "If the 20th century was the era of rural electrification, then the 21st century will be the era of integrating clean energy, hydrogen, and the carbon economy to redefine the value of rural areas." The vision for Vietnam: Rural Vietnam can create a sustainable future today. A shift is needed from a "electrification" mindset to a "clean energy, hydrogen, and carbon economy integration" mindset. Rural people are not only energy users but also producers and providers of environmental services.

Dr. Bui Viet Tuan Anh's three main conclusions: Electrolysis is not a "magic machine" that automatically produces clean hydrogen – it simply converts electrical energy into hydrogen. The environmental impact of SOEC hydrogen is primarily determined by the carbon intensity of the electricity used. Switching from hybrid power to solar and nuclear power reduced the impact by 66% and 96%, respectively, confirming that clean hydrogen comes from clean electricity.

Dr. Nguyen Phuc Thanh opened his presentation by introducing Kanadevia Corporation (formerly Hitachi Zosen Corporation).

Ms. Phuong Ho opened her presentation with an inspiring message: "Hydro is not just the story of energy. Hydro is also the story of health and sustainable development." She emphasized that hydrogen is not limited to being a clean fuel for industry and transport but has wide applications in healthcare, human health, and environmental protection.

Dr. Tran Thanh Tam began by introducing the current legal framework: the 2020 Environmental Protection Law (Article 139): Establishing the legal foundation for the carbon market in Vietnam; Decree No. 29/2026/ND-CP (February 2026): Providing detailed regulations on the carbon market and carbon credits, including regulations on assessment, measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV); Decision 165/QD-TTg (2024): Strategy for the development of hydrogen energy to 2030, with a vision to 2050. Dr. Tam emphasized that these legal documents create a solid foundation for integrating hydrogen into the carbon credit generation mechanism, especially in the fields of agriculture and environment.

Mr. John Tay opened his presentation by introducing KPT Chemical Group – a Malaysian enterprise established in 2009, with offices in Vietnam (62, Street 64, Area 14, Cat Lai Ward, HCMC) and global operations spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China. The Group employs over 150 people with annual revenue exceeding 500 billion VND.

On July 29, 2026, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), the International Workshop on "Hydrogen Solutions for Agriculture, Environment, and Carbon Market" officially took place. The event brought together a large number of scientists, leading experts, domestic and international businesses, and diplomatic representatives from Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea. The workshop was organized to promote hydrogen applications in agriculture, environment, and carbon market development in Vietnam, while strengthening international cooperation in clean energy.

At the Hydrogen Energy Forum and the Future of Zero-Emission Industry held on July 29, 2026, in Hanoi, Dr. Dư Văn Toán from the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, Environment and Climate Change (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) delivered an in-depth presentation on the current status of offshore hydrogen energy, along with an analysis of opportunities and challenges for Vietnam in this field.

This marks a significant milestone, signifying the participation of a leading strategic consulting firm in the rapidly growing hydrogen and renewable energy ecosystem in Vietnam and the region.

The global hydrogen economy is shifting from research to large-scale commercialization. According to Vietnam's Hydrogen Energy Development Strategy (Decision 165/QD-TTg), the target is 100,000–500,000 tons/year by 2030 and 10–20 million tons by 2050. However, unlike the fragmented approach currently seen (focusing only on R&D, or only on production, storage, or consumption), this workshop aims to build a comprehensive hydrogen economic model – where scientific research, production, storage, transportation, domestic consumption, and exports form a closed value chain that generates profit and ensures sustainability.

Hydrogen Scotland has announced the establishment of five Working Groups to create practical, member-led forums for sharing expertise, discussing challenges, and exploring opportunities for Scotland's hydrogen sector.

Within the framework of the Vietnam-Korea Energy Week 2026, the VAHC (ASEAN - Vietnam Hydrogen Club) held a strategic working session with the new Director of the Korea Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute (EVEDI) and representatives from KEPCO.

The "Energy Evolution" event will be held at Eastin Grand Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, on August 20, 2026 featuring speakers from VAHC, Phoenix Contact, Obayashi Corporation and (expecting) Kanadevia Corporation as well.

As the global hydrogen industry reshapes growth targets and seeks strategic applications in defence and energy, in Vietnam, UNP Healthcare is pioneering the application of hydrogen in proactive healthcare. The Nakama Day 2026 event, held at the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel, marked an important milestone in the company's journey toward building sustainable health values.

GH2 India has officially invited member associations of the Global Hydrogen Industrial Association Alliance (GHIAA) to participate in the 10th GHIAA General Assembly, scheduled for November 16, 2026, in New Delhi. The event is held alongside the India Green Hydrogen Assembly (IGHA) 2026 and Hyvolution India, taking place on November 17–18, 2026, at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR.

Continuing the successful series of 4 international hydrogen workshops held in 2025, the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), in strategic partnership with Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE), will co-organize its annual international workshop on: "H₂ Technology Solutions in Vietnam's Sustainable Development Roadmap for Agriculture, Environment, and Carbon Market."

On July 11, 2026, the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) will participate and partner with UNP Healthcare Vietnam at Nakama Day 2026, themed "Next Together – Walking Together Today, Shaping the Future". The event takes place at Apollo 2 Hall – Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, from 09:00 to 14:00.
