Workshop "ESG - The key to sustainable development: Solutions to support businesses in practicing ESG effectively" June 20, 2024
In the context of the shift in the global economy and the desire for sustainable development, businesses are increasingly paying attention to new standards and trends. Among these, the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards have been mentioned as a catalyst that helps businesses enhance their competitive advantage and contribute to enterprises' long-term value. However, in practice, the definition and issues related to ESG are recognised as a newfound matter. This has made it more challenging for businesses to apply and adapt to the overall context.
Aiming to discuss the orientations and perspectives of stakeholders on ESG practices in businesses, new dispute trends related to ESG standards, and recommendations for ESG risk allocation clauses, as well as proposing solutions to promote the business community towards effective ESG practices, the Institute for Development Studies, the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Center of International Integration Support (CIIS), and the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), organized the seminar “ESG – Key to sustainable development: Solutions for supporting businesses to effectively practice ESG standards”.
* The above seminar is organized within the framework of Legal Management Series 2024 (LMS 2024) with the main theme“Legal compliance for adapting to the modern and green economy” hosted by VIAC and partners. This series includes 09 events, taking place from 20 June 2024 to 01 August 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces.
