Working session with Sumitomo Forestry Vietnam Group
On June 16, 2023, representatives of Pacific Group and Hydrogen Vietnam ASEAN Club and ICM COM Group including Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tam, journalist Nguyen Huu Ha and Mr. Takeaki Uchida had a meeting and worked with Mr. Mr. Kamibayashiyama Masao, General Director, Mr. Yuya Otani, Sales Manager Sumitomo Forestry Corporation Vietnam.
The two sides introduced about the renewable energy business and the strengths of each side. Currently, Pacific Group is setting up a chain of biomass thermal power projects in Gia Lai, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Can Tho and Ca Mau, and Sumitomo Forestry is very interested in investing in this project chain. Pacific Group is currently completing the final stages of the acquisition of Thuy Son Group, which is a leading corporation in plantation forests and producing wood and wood pellets in the Mekong Delta. Pacific Group wishes to cooperate with Sumitomo Forestry on plantation management and production management of wood and pellets.
The two sides will study projects proposed by Pacific Group, starting with the upgrading of the Thuy Son pellet and wood processing factory and the management of plantations according to Japanese technology.
