VAHC Club jointly opened the first Vietnam-Korea Energy Week
On September 25, 2024, on the sidelines of the 2024 Electric Power Exhibition and Conference, Dr. Kwangchon Kim, General Director of the Enterprise Energy Valley Development Institute (EVEDI), Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of VAHC Club, together with representatives of KEPCO Electricity Group, the Institute of Sustainable Finance of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Korean guests opened the first Vietnam-Korea Energy Week.
The first Vietnam-Korea Energy Week was initiated by EVEDI Institute, KEPCO Group and Jeolanam-do Province and is expected to be held annually to create a new playground for energy, promote project development and support Vietnamese and Korean enterprises to meet, exchange and share technology, experience and invest in energy projects in Vietnam.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Le Ngoc Anh Minh. I am the chairman of Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC). Today, I am very happy to be here with all of you, especially our dear Korean partner, the Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute (EVEDI).
Energy is the key factor for economic growth of Vietnam. Vietnam energy business community often try to have business partnership with international partners where Korean play an important role. More and more foreign investors to Vietnam to build factories. It means more and more energy consumed. Vietnam Government already determined net-zero goal of 2050. We all business people are trying hard for energy transition from traditional energy to clean energy. This journey is very challenging to any country. Thus, we believe that international collaboration is very important to make this happened in accordance to the goal.
Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VHAC) is a private energy club. We have members and partners doing hydrogen and hydrogen relating business not only from Vietnam but also from Japan, Australia, China, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and coming Korea.
Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club today have MoU with our Korean partner, Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute (EVEDI) as the first start of collaboration for green hydrogen energy with Korea. We really think that from this step, Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club will broaden hydrogen business and investment collaboration with Korean partners through EVEDI.
VAHC is involving in building frameworks and community of hydrogen in Vietnam. We have member, Obayashi Corporation from Japan who is arranging a green hydrogen demonstration project in Long An province, South of Vietnam. We really hope to work with Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute to develop one of the first Korean green hydrogen projects in Binh Duong province.
On behalf of Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club, I would like to say thanks to all of you and our dear partner of Energy Valley Enterprise Development Institute. I wish a great success to the first Vietnam-Korea Energy Week. Wishing that through this important Energy Week, many Vietnamese and Korean business can have good collaboration and work together and coming to a next level of the next year week.
