Ho Chi Minh City, September 26, 2025 – The international workshop “United Hydrogen – Bringing Hydrogen into Industrialization of Vietnam and ASEAN” co-hosted by the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), United Hydrogen (UH2), and Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment (HCMUNRE) concluded successfully, inspiring participants and energizing the clean energy, business, and industrial community.

 

The event gathered representatives from major corporations such as Vietnam Petroleum Institute, Indel Petro, Nippon Koei, Wisdom Motor, steel and cement producers, logistics companies, financial institutions like Agribank, HSC as well as academic and media organizations.

Breakthrough Spirit – Igniting Inspiration

In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of VAHC, emphasized hydrogen’s crucial role in launching a new industrial era. Representing UH2, Ms. Ma Xia, President & CEO of United Hydrogen, shared the company’s vision of making hydrogen the driving force for Vietnam and ASEAN’s green industrialization.

United Hydrogen also announced plans to collaborate with VAHC and HCMUNRE on pioneering initiatives, including:

  • Hydrogen Agriculture: applying hydrogen to sustainable farming, soil and water treatment, and productivity enhancement.

  • Hydrogen F&B: developing new products such as hydrogen coffee and beverages to promote public health.

    Hydrogen Wellness: researching hydrogen-based therapies (inhalation, baths, facial masks) to improve quality of life.

Technology & Finance – Accelerating Momentum

The technology session featured Mr. Ianton Tan (United Hydrogen) presenting industrial decarbonization solutions, and Mr. Ivan Lim (Wisdom Motor) introducing hydrogen mobility applications.
The investment session saw Dr. Tran Van The (Indel Petro) present the company’s hydrogen, LNG, and wind power projects in Gia Lai and Van Phong (Khanh Hoa), while Ms. Tomoe Kobayashi (Nippon Koei) guided participants on how to leverage Japan’s JCM and other green financing mechanisms.

  • United Hydrogen – Pacific Group: development of a comprehensive hydrogen value chain in Vietnam.

  • United Hydrogen – HCMUNRE: joint research and pilot projects applying hydrogen in agriculture and environmental sectors.

  • United Hydrogen – Ánh Tâm Law Office: legal advisory and training on international economic arbitration and project compliance.

  • United Hydrogen – Indel Petro: development of an integrated upstream-downstream hydrogen production chain.

  • VAHC – Indel Petro: promotion of hydrogen, LNG, and domestic wind turbine component manufacturing.

Strategic Roundtable – Pathways to a Greener ASEAN

Experts, business leaders, and policymakers jointly mapped out a roadmap for scaling hydrogen production and distribution, and for its application in industry, transport, and agriculture. They stressed the importance of building a local supply chain, leveraging green finance policies, and accelerating real-world technology demonstrations.
