Suiso Japan and the Future of Hydrogen Wellness: From Japanese Craftsmanship to Global Innovation
Ho Chi Minh City, October 17, 2025 — At the Vietnam–Japan Hydrogen Workshop 2025, Mr. Ōtsuki Taisei, Assistant to Executive Director of Suiso Japan Co., Ltd, delivered a detailed presentation on the company’s journey to bring hydrogen technology from industrial applications to the forefront of healthcare, wellness, and environmental sustainability.
His talk, titled “Suilive: Living with Hydrogen,” highlighted how Japan’s precision engineering and human-centered design are shaping a new generation of hydrogen-based devices — not only for clean energy, but also for medicine, beauty, and agriculture.
Hydrogen: The Original Element of Life
Opening his presentation, Mr. Ōtsuki reflected on hydrogen’s cosmic origins. Formed 4.6 billion years ago and comprising over 75% of the universe’s elemental composition, hydrogen has been fundamental to sustaining life on Earth — from the earliest plants to modern human biology.
He noted that hydrogen’s biological and therapeutic potential is now widely recognized, citing more than 3,000 research papers published globally on its health benefits. In several advanced countries, hydrogen-generating devices have already been approved as certified medical equipment.
“Hydrogen,” he explained, “neutralizes harmful reactive oxygen species, turning them into water — a natural process that the body can safely expel.”
As such, hydrogen is expected to offer antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic effects, with no reported side effects after decades of research and clinical use.
Suilive: A Japanese Approach to Hydrogen Manufacturing
Mr. Ōtsuki then introduced the Suilive Series, Suiso Japan’s flagship line of hydrogen generators and wellness devices, which have been exported to 22 countries as of September 2025.
He described Suiso Japan’s production philosophy through three key principles:
-
“Takumi-style Craftsmanship” — Each unit is handcrafted by skilled artisans who embody Japan’s centuries-old spirit of takumi (master craftsmanship). Every device is assembled with precision and tested for reliability and durability.
-
“Future-Oriented Design” — All products comply with Japan’s Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (PSE), and are engineered for long-term use with upgradeable systems — ensuring both safety and sustainability.
-
“Exclusive After-Sales Service” — Suiso Japan provides lifelong maintenance, including annual inspections, full overhauls, and personal customer support, promoting a holistic lifestyle known as “Living with Hydrogen.”
Even for the electrolyzer, the most critical component in hydrogen generation, the company insists on domestic Japanese production, combining advanced materials with patented technology to ensure high efficiency and purity.
Hydrogen for Health, Beauty, and Agriculture
Mr. Ōtsuki showcased the Suilive SS Series — compact, medical-grade hydrogen generators capable of producing 99% pure hydrogen at rates of 300–600 ml per minute. These devices are already being used in medical clinics, wellness centers, sports rehabilitation, and beauty therapy.
Notably, Suiso Japan’s products have been endorsed by professional athletes — including national team players and a Major League pitcher — and have appeared on major Japanese TV programs such as TBS Health & Wellness.
Beyond healthcare, Suiso Japan is extending its hydrogen expertise to agriculture and water management. The company’s Atmospheric Water Generator can extract hydrogen-rich water from the air — even in arid regions — supporting “hydrogen agriculture” that enhances crop yield and water efficiency.
In one field trial, rice irrigated with hydrogen-enriched water produced 40–50% more grains per plant, demonstrating the molecule’s remarkable potential in sustainable food systems.
From Osaka to the World: A Commitment to Quality and Innovation
Headquartered in Takatsuki City, Osaka, Suiso Japan operates multiple facilities — including a dedicated electrolyzer factory, two hydrogen clinics, and a Tokyo service center.
The company has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Representative Companies of the Hokusetsu Region, chosen from more than 39,000 enterprises for its innovation and contribution to public health.
Mr. Ōtsuki emphasized that Suiso Japan’s goal is to “bring the power of hydrogen to all people,” combining technology, health, and lifestyle design.
He also announced a forthcoming scientific publication in March 2026 based on collaborative clinical research using the Suilive series — further validating hydrogen’s therapeutic potential.
Mr. Yo Inaishi, President & CEO of Suiso Japan Co Ltd signed a cooperation agreement on research and development of health hydrogen applications with Professor Dr. Le Van Canh, Vice President of HUTECH University.
The Global Significance: Hydrogen Beyond Energy
The presentation underscored a transformative vision — one in which hydrogen becomes more than an industrial fuel.
Suiso Japan’s work exemplifies Japan’s unique ability to integrate precision engineering with human wellness, advancing hydrogen as a multidimensional solution that connects clean energy, preventive healthcare, and sustainable agriculture.
As global awareness of hydrogen’s benefits expands, companies like Suiso Japan are positioning themselves at the intersection of science, craftsmanship, and sustainability — proving that the smallest element in the universe may hold the biggest promise for humanity’s future.
“Hydrogen is not only a source of clean energy,” Mr. Ōtsuki concluded. “It is a source of life — a bridge between science and well-being.”
