SAMCO AN LAC Signs MOU with Wisdom Fujian Motor to Advance Hydrogen and Electric Buses in Vietnam

HCMC April 17 2026, At the headquarters of Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Wisdom Fujian Motor Co., Ltd. to establish a strategic partnership in advanced commercial vehicles.
The agreement focuses on the supply, deployment, localization, and distribution of Wisdom’s full product portfolio in Vietnam, including:
- Hydrogen fuel cell buses
- Battery-electric buses
- Range-extended hybrid vehicles
- Minibuses, midi buses, coaches, and specialist vehicles
Partnership objectives
The collaboration aims to support:
- Sustainable mobility development
- Urban transport modernization
- Major events such as APEC Phu Quoc 2027
Key areas also include:
- Technology transfer
- Joint manufacturing at SAMCO facilities
- Regulatory compliance support
- Hydrogen and charging infrastructure development
- Pilot deployments in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phu Quoc, and nationwide
Commitments
Wisdom Fujian Motor Co., Ltd.:
- Deliver a fully customizable product range
- Provide engineering, training, and production support
- Collaborate on infrastructure and decentralized energy solutions
SAMCO:
- Facilitate local assembly and manufacturing
- Support market access and fleet integration
- Provide nationwide distribution and after-sales services
Next steps
Both parties will establish a joint working group within 30 days to finalize a detailed cooperation agreement, including commercial terms, timelines, and binding commitments.
The MOU is currently non-binding, except for provisions related to confidentiality, good faith negotiations, and exclusivity during the negotiation period.
