Press Release: Vietnam and Australia Cooperate to Promote Hydrogen Energy Application
Hydrogen – the Key to a Green and Carbon-neutral Economy, Especially in the Transport Sector.
The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) in collaboration with PV Gas and Pure Hydrogen organise the Vietnam Australia Hydrogen Workshop - H2 Mobility & Decentralised System, taking place on 9 December 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The workshop focused on the topic of "Hydrogen Applications in Transport and Decentralised Hydrogen Supply Systems", with the participation of leading experts from Vietnam and Australia, including the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC), the Smart Energy Council (SEC), the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Australian Trade Office in Vietnam.
This event marks an important step forward in promoting bilateral cooperation on hydrogen development, to address the challenge of climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Vietnam, with its great potential for renewable energy, is considered an ideal location for low-emission hydrogen production.

• Introducing the Hydrogen Roadmap of Vietnam and Australia.
• Exploring business opportunities in the hydrogen sector, especially applications in transport and decentralized supply systems.
• Promoting partnerships between businesses of the two countries.
• Establishing a hydrogen supply chain between Vietnam and Australia.
• Encouraging innovation and start-ups in the hydrogen sector.
The workshop welcomes the participation of members of VAHC, AHC, SEC, and partners operating in the fields of hydrogen, energy, transport, tourism, aviation, green finance and climate funds.
