Background
Vietnam is a rapidly developing country with a growing population and economy. This process has led to increased urbanization and private car ownership, which has exacerbated traffic congestion and air pollution. The Vietnamese government has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, and electric vehicles (EVs) are seen as a key part of this strategy.
The Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM) is conducting a research project on the development of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) in Vietnam. The research aims to identify the best international experiences in developing ZEVs, as well as to assess the suitability and feasibility of these experiences in the context of Vietnam's specific economic, social, and urban context.
Objectives
The workshop aims to share and discuss the preliminary research findings on international experience in developing policies for ZEVs, as well as the preconditions that need to be considered in applying and developing policies for Vietnam.

The workshop will be held in person and online, open to the public, including policymakers, businesses, research organizations, media agencies, and other interested parties.
