JH2A MOU signed with Hydrogen Europe
At the Japan-EU Roundtable held on Monday, June 3, 2024, we signed an MOU with Hydrogen Europe (HE). Since last year, we have been discussing cooperation with the EU in the "industry" field, and we plan to launch working groups along each theme in the future. HE Deputy CEO Stephen Jackson and JH2A Chairman Uchiyamada were the signers. METI Minister Saito and European Commissioner Kadri Simson also attended the meeting.
JH2A Chairman Uchiyamada commented, "JH2A is a gathering of Japanese industry to work towards the realization of a hydrogen society. We believe that cooperation with HE will be particularly beneficial in terms of technological development." HE Deputy CEO Stephen Jackson commented, "HE has more than 500 member companies. We hope to create synergy effects by having Japanese and EU companies work together in the future. In particular, we would like to cooperate on technical matters such as production, hydrogen carriers, transportation, and shipping, and to realize mutual certification for hydrogen trade, and cooperate towards the realization of a hydrogen society."
