Signed MOU with H2Global Stiftung
At the "Japan-EU Roundtable" held on Monday, June 3, 2024, we signed an MOU with H2Global Stiftung (H2Global). We have been discussing cooperation with the EU in the financial sector since last year, and we want to study how to secure cheap hydrogen in Japan while learning about Germany's plans. The signatory for H2Global is Markus Exenberger, Chairman of the Executive Board, and the signatory for JH2A is Chairman Uchiyamada. Also attending were Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Saito and European Commissioner Kadri Simson.
JH2A President Uchiyamada said, ``JH2A aims to bring together all industrial sectors to realize a hydrogen society. Hydrogen has a process for producing, pumping, storing and using it, which is different from previous industries. We must undertake a major energy transition. towards carbon neutrality. What makes JH2A unique is that the financial institutions have worked together since its inception. “How do we start this business?” is what we expected. ”, said Markus Exenberger, Chairman of the Executive Board of H2Global, `` Hydrogen must be included in business. EU countries, Japan and the OECD are coming forward with about $100 billion in policy support, but that is not enough.'' "We will need private capital. In other words, we need to demonstrate that we I can make a profit. We hope that we can move forward on a large scale by cooperating with various Japanese industries."
