New Energy Business Delegation (Vietnam) - Day 3 Review

Insights and Connections at Slar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024

On 10 July 2024, the Hong Kong New Energy Business Delegation had the privilege of participating in the Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024 exhibition at SKY Expo Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. Our delegation's involvement in this prestigious event was a rewarding experience filled with valuable takeaways and networking opportunities.

Key Takeaways:

Innovative Solutions: We explored the latest advancements in solar and energy storage technologies. The exhibition showcased cutting-edge solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, providing us with fresh perspectives on integrating renewable energy into diverse applications.

Networking and Collaboration: The event was a melting pot of industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators. We formed new connections and discussed potential collaborations that could drive the growth of renewable energy in Hong Kong and beyond.

Expert Insights: We were honored to have one of our delegates, Dennis Wu, share at one of the forum discussion sessions. His insights on the future of energy storage and its role in sustainable development were well-received, adding significant value to the discussions.

Strategic Meetings: A highlight of the day was the special meeting between our delegation and Long Lam, Chairman of Innovation Services Center. The discussion focused on the application of new energy solutions in their Technology Park in Hau Giang, shedding light on the current renewable energy landscape in Vietnam. This strategic dialogue underscored the potential for future collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Why Vietnam?

Vietnam’s commitment to renewable energy is evident through its ambitious initiatives and policies. The government's recent issuance of the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) mechanism and the emphasis on building a smart grid system are driving substantial growth in solar power. These developments align with Vietnam’s goal to decarbonize its economy and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Participating in Solar & Storage Live Vietnam has equipped us with the knowledge and connections to further our mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Thank you to the organizers, speakers, and all participants for making this event a success. We look forward to continued engagement and collaboration in the renewable energy sector.
