MIECF 2024: GBACNA seizes new opportunities in green energy and green design
#GBACNA made its appearance for the second consecutive year at the 2024 MIECF, organized by the Macao SAR Government under the theme "Promoting Green Transformation and Achieving Dual Carbon Goals." Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited , a founding member of #GBACNA, also participated as a supporting unit in this event.
Echoing the theme "Green Energy, Green Design" alongside the "Connecting Sino-Portuguese Green Finance and Green Technology" project, #GBACNA conducted eight roadshow projects. Mr. Dennis Wu, #GBACNA's Founding President, had an eventful time participating in a series of exciting forums, matching sessions, and roadshows.
2024 MIECF Highlights:
The Chief Executive of the Macao SAR government, Mr. Ho Iat Seng, and the Secretary for Environment and Ecology of Hong Kong government, Mr. TSE Chin-wan, BBS, JP, attended the opening ceremony. Dennis attended the opening ceremony #GBACNA Secretary-General Yee Ping Law and met many distinguished guests.
With #GBACNA as one of the organizers of the "2024 Zero Carbon Smart Industrial Park Forum," Dennis delivered a speech on "International Certification and Green Finance for Zero Carbon Industrial Parks," introducing the LEED green certification system and emphasized the importance of establishing a consensus on standards for zero carbon smart industrial parks.
Mr. Tse visited our booth and had a good chat with Dennis and Secretary Law as he learned our contribution in building an international green energy certification and trading platform in the Greater Bay Area. Mr. Tse and Director Wang Baosen of the Guangzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau both expressed their interest and support for our "Green Design 1+1" project at our booth, which will be established in the Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Center in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, under the First Steel Group.
Furthermore, #GBACNA signed a MoU with the World Green Design Organisation and the Macao Green Low Carbon Industry Association at the event to jointly promote cooperation in green energy and green design.
As a member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance, #GBACNA was proud to participate in the project matchmaking event where we presented eight exciting green technology projects on-site and foster over 60 connections. We were thrilled to collaborate with the alliance and the Macao Bankers Association to connect with the China-Portugal Speaking Countries Cooperation and Development Fund. We also reached the first agreement with the Macao Green Low Carbon Industry Association and the Brazilian Carbon and Methane Credit Association to jointly promote carbon and methane credit trading between China and Brazil.
