Event:
• The Consulate General of Malaysia in Ho Chi Minh City will organise a ‘Malaysia Madani Week’ which will take place from 9-18 June 2023.
• This is our first time combining our Malaysian brands across sectors – from trade, education and tourism sectors.
• The Malaysia Madani Week is part of the celebration to mark the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of Bilateral Relations between Malaysia and Vietnam.
Partners:
• We are pleased to receive support from:
(i) Agencies of the Consulate General of Malaysia – Education Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia, MATRADE;
(ii) External Relations Department (ERD);
(iii) Southern Representative Office of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO);
(iv) Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO);
(v) Vietnam-ASEAN Friendship Association (VAFA);
(vi) Malaysia Business Chamber (MBC);
(vii) Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC); and

Programmes:
A series of commemorative events will take place during the Malaysia Madani Week. The highlights will be the ‘Malaysia Madani Pavilion’, ‘Malaysia Education Fair’ and ‘Food and Cultural Promotion’ in 4 hotels in Ho Chi Minh City.
A. Malaysia Madani Pavilion, 9-11 June 2023, Estella Place (88 Song Hanh, An Phu ward, Thu Duc City)
• The Malaysia Madani Pavilion will gather all in all more than 30 Malaysian brands and universities from Malaysia; catering for products/services and business networking cross sectoral including oil products, construction, lifestyles, healthcare, banks and hotels, and education. We welcome and encourage business networking / business matching with local enterprises.
• During the Malaysia Pavilion, we will also feature dance troops from Malaysia i.e. from the states of Perak and Melaka. Each dance troops will showcase the unique performance from their respective states.
B. Malaysia Education Fair, 9-11 June 2023, Estella Place (88 Song Hanh, An Phu ward, Thu Duc City)
• We will have officers from Education Malaysia Global Services and representatives from 11 public and private universities from Malaysia. For Vietnamese students that are interested to pursue education in Malaysia, we welcome you to our Malaysia Education Fair.
C. Food and Cultural Promotion

• In the same time, our partnering hotels will simultaneously commence the Food and Cultural Programmes in their respective hotels. We fly-in 8 Malaysian chefs specially for the Malaysia Madani Week programme. The Food and Cultural Programme will start on 9-18 June, with special cultural/culinary performances on specific dates mentioned in our brochure.
D. Education Cooperation / Programmes
- Center for Foreign Affairs and Languages Training – CEFALT,

• In the meantime, from the Education side, the Consulate General will be working together with Center for Foreign Affairs and Languages Training – CEFALT to launch a ‘Malaysia Class Room’. Representatives from universities will meet to discuss further potential cooperation.
• Also from Education Cooperation, Education Malaysia will also be organising a informative session together with the CEO of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) to talk more about opportunities of pursuing further studies in Malaysia. The Talk Show will be on 10 June 2023 at IDECAF.
E. Business networking
- Investment and Trade Promotion Center – ITPC,

• After the Malaysia Madani Pavilion, we will continue with program in Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) on 12 June 2023. We seek the assistance and cooperation from ITPC and our MATRADE to conduct a seminar for our Malaysian businesses.
• On the same day, 12 June 2023, we have the cooperation from VAFA and HUFO to host a Business Networking Session between Malaysian businesses and Vietnamese Businesses.
• Inquiries about Halal sector: Malaysia will be organizing Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2023 in Kuala Lumpur on 12-15 September 2023.
F. Celebration of 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Vietnam Bilateral Relations, Opera House, 13 June 2023, 10.30am-11.30am
• The finale for the whole Malaysia Madani Week in Ho Chi Minh City will be the celebration of 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Vietnam Bilateral Relations at the Opera House on 13 June 2023.
G. Celebration of 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Vietnam Bilateral Relations, Dong Nai Province , 15 June 2023, 2.00pm-5.00pm
• We will also have the celebration of 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Vietnam Bilateral Relations with Dong Nai Province leaders on 15 June 2023.
