INVITATION TO JOIN THE COLLABORATION NETWORK FOR THE DANIDA RESEARCH PROJECT (DENMARK)
From: Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC)
Contact email: contact@vahc.com.vn
Dear Partners,
Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) respectfully announces an opportunity for international research collaboration together with Professor Shuang Ma Andersen, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), within the framework of the Danida Research Program 2026 funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The project focuses on the following areas:
Hydrogen and related technologies (electrolysis, fuel cells, materials, polymers, catalysis…)
Energy, environment
Social sciences, economics, hydrogen market
Value chain, energy transition, and green industry
VAHC respectfully invites research institutes, universities, and enterprises in the fields of hydrogen, energy, industry, finance, and consulting that are interested in this international collaboration opportunity to contact VAHC via email: contact@vahc.com.vn.
Invitation to the first online meeting
Time: 9:00 AM Central European Time (CET), equivalent to 15:00 Vietnam Time
Date: 08/12/2025
Participants: Professor Shuang Ma Andersen and research teams from Denmark; VAHC; interested Vietnamese partners
Agenda: Introduction to the Danida 2026 opportunity, identification of joint research themes, consortium structure, and steps for preparing the Phase 1 proposal.
The online meeting link will be sent directly by VAHC after receiving the confirmation email from your organization.
We highly look forward to the interest and participation of your esteemed organization to jointly promote scientific and technological cooperation on hydrogen between Vietnam and Denmark.

Professor Shuang Ma Andersen, Faculty of Engineering – University of Southern Denmark, sent a letter requesting the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) to support several important tasks in preparing the proposal documents for the Danida Research Program 2026 funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
According to Professor Andersen, this project focuses on fundamental research on climate change, environment, vulnerability, and resilience, in which hydrogen and related technologies are a highly relevant focus.
Items that Professor Andersen requests VAHC to support:
Connecting research groups in Vietnam
VAHC is requested to help connect with scientists who are conducting fundamental or applied research in the following fields:
Natural science – engineering:
Electrocatalysis (ORR, OER...)
Polymer science (proton-conducting membranes, polymer materials)
Materials & interface (slurry, ink, inking, assembly)
Engineering (upscaling, system processing)
Characterization – testing (durability, aging of electrochemical systems)
Hydrogen technologies related to:
PEM electrolysis
PEM fuel cells
Materials for green hydrogen production and utilization
Social science & economics:
Environment
Market and value-chain studies
Analysis of energy structure and the energy transition process in Vietnam
Connecting Vietnamese enterprises
VAHC is requested to connect with enterprises such as:
Fuel cell or electrolyzer developers/manufacturers
Users of hydrogen or green fuels
Enterprises wishing to participate in the project as secondary partners
Supporting the formation of a network for a joint proposal
Professor Andersen wants VAHC to play the role of a bridge to bring together:
Universities and research institutes in Vietnam
Interested enterprises
The Danish research team, in order to jointly develop a five-year research proposal with a total value of up to 10 million DKK.
Proposal to organize an online meeting
Professor Andersen proposes that VAHC join a web meeting on December 8 (European time) to discuss directly and optimize coordination and task allocation.
