Indepedent expert on hydrogen, Founder of Hydrogen World conducts experimental program using hydrogen gas to support eye health
Ho Chi Minh City, March 9, 2026 – Independent hydrogen health expert Nguyen Thieu Son, founder of Hydrogen World, is collaborating with the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club to implement an experimental program using hydrogen gas (H₂) to explore its potential in supporting eye health improvement.

Mr. Nguyen Thieu Son at the seminar on Hydrogen Applications in Healthcare, co-organized by VAHC Club, on January 19, 2026, at the Hydrogen World Cafe.
According to Nguyen Thieu Son, many international scientific studies indicate that molecular hydrogen has selective antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory effects, and the ability to protect cells, which gives it potential applications in diseases related to oxidative stress, including eye-related conditions.
Several studies suggest that hydrogen may help protect the lacrimal gland and improve dry eye conditions, a common problem among people who work extensively with computer screens or in polluted environments.
In addition, experimental studies on animal models have shown that hydrogen may reduce retinal damage, suppress inflammatory responses, and support retinal vascular regeneration, suggesting potential applications in retinal degeneration or oxidative stress-related eye disorders.
As part of the experimental program in Vietnam, the research team initiated by Nguyen Thieu Son will:
-
Monitor participant responses when using hydrogen-based therapy
-
Record indicators related to eye fatigue, dry eyes, and visual comfort
-
Collect preliminary data to support further research in the future
According to representatives of the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club, the program aims to connect the scientific community, businesses, and experts in the hydrogen health sector, contributing to the development of hydrogen research and applications in healthcare in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club cordially invites members, experts, companies, and partners in the hydrogen health industry to participate and collaborate in the program, sharing experiences, experimental data, and promoting research cooperation. Please contact us via email: contact@vahc.com.vn
The application of hydrogen in medicine and healthcare is currently being widely studied worldwide, particularly for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cell-protective effects. However, experts emphasize that larger clinical studies are still required to fully confirm its effectiveness and safety in medical treatment.
