Ikonomy officially granted Industrial Design Patent for hydrogen system control cabinet

Ikon Investment Company Limited, the entity behind the hydrogen technology brand Ikonomy, has officially been granted two Industrial Design Patents by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam for its "Automatic Control Electrical Cabinet" and "Automatic Control Electrical Cabinet Module" products.

According to the information on the two certificates, Patent No. 45490 was granted for the industrial design "Automatic Control Electrical Cabinet" under Decision No. 11834/QD-SHTT dated August 13, 2026. Patent No. 45491 was granted for the industrial design "Automatic Control Electrical Cabinet Module" under Decision No. 11846/QD-SHTT on the same date. Both certificates name the patent holder as Ikon Investment Company Limited, located at 208 Bach Dang, Ward 24, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The filing date for both industrial designs is May 16, 2022, with application numbers 3-2022-00958 and 3-2022-01026 respectively.

An Industrial Design Patent is valid from the grant date until the end of 5 years from the valid filing date and may be renewed twice consecutively for 5 years each. The certificates were issued by the Intellectual Property Office (Ministry of Science and Technology), signed by Director General Nguyen Hoang Giang.
Ikonomy is a hydrogen technology startup based in Ho Chi Minh City, pursuing a practical approach to entering the hydrogen economy by installing mini electrolysis systems powered by solar or wind energy directly on fishing vessels. The immediate goal is to produce hydrogen on-site for injection into diesel engines, helping to save fuel and reduce emissions. The long-term vision is to build a large-scale digitalized fisheries logistics ecosystem based on IoT and blockchain from a network of hundreds of thousands of fishing vessels.

Ikonomy's core products include two versions of micro-electrolyzers, the S-1000 (solar-powered) and W-1000 (wind-powered), utilizing renewable energy sources available at sea. The hydrogen produced on-site is injected into the combustion chamber of existing diesel engines on the vessel. This H2-diesel dual-fuel technique has been proven to improve combustion efficiency, thereby reducing diesel fuel consumption and CO2 and NOx emissions.

Beyond hardware, Ikonomy is also developing a digital ecosystem with the MARINA IoT device to connect the supply chain and manage operational data, along with the IKT digital token for payments, CO2 credit exchange, and DeFi activities, creating a "green-to-finance" ecosystem that bridges green energy and green finance.
