IHI and Maeda Corporation were selected to carry out the Feasibility Study Project for green hydrogen and ammonia production in Vietnam
August 2, 2023: The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade (METI) of Japan has announced to select IHI Corporation (Company Code: 4010601031604) and Maeda Corporation (Company Code: 4010001008789) to carry out the Research Project. feasibility study of renewable energy balanced green hydrogen and ammonia production using energy management and stored hydroelectricity Renewable energy such as solar power generation, small storage hydroelectricity and energy Investigating and controlling examine the technical and economic feasibility of stable production of blue hydrogen and ammonia through integrated management.
Vietnam has 2 projects selected out of 12 overseas projects of the Survey program to promote infrastructure expansion abroad of Japanese companies conducted by the Japanese Government. The second project is a survey of offshore wind transmission infrastructure in Tra Vinh area, implemented by Kumagai Gumi.
