Hydrogen Activities in May 2026: International Engagement and Industry Standard Development in Vietnam

In May 2026, the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) will participate in and organise two important activities aimed at strengthening international cooperation and advancing the policy, regulatory, and standardisation framework for Vietnam’s hydrogen sector.
1. VAHC participation in Vietnam–Korea Hydrogen Technology Networking Event
Date: 14/05/2026
Venue: Pullman Hotel Saigon
VAHC has been invited to participate in a networking programme bringing together hydrogen technology companies, EPC contractors, and organisations from both Korea and Vietnam.
The event focuses on:
- Promoting technological cooperation across the hydrogen value chain
- Connecting stakeholders in equipment supply, EPC services, hydrogen storage, and applications
- Expanding investment opportunities and supporting project development in Vietnam
The programme serves as an important platform to strengthen international cooperation, particularly with Korean partners actively expanding into Southeast Asia’s emerging clean energy market.

2. VAHC-hosted workshop on hydrogen policy, regulations, and standards
Date: 29/05/2026
VAHC will organise a dedicated technical workshop to discuss and contribute to the development framework of Vietnam’s hydrogen sector, focusing on:
- National hydrogen policy direction
- Technical regulations and safety standards across the hydrogen value chain
- Standardisation of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and applications
- International best practices and applicability in Vietnam
The workshop aims to establish a coherent policy and technical foundation to support the scalable deployment of commercial hydrogen projects in the coming period.

Overview
These two activities highlight VAHC’s growing role within Vietnam’s hydrogen ecosystem, including:
- Strengthening international cooperation in technology and investment
- Proactively contributing to policy dialogue and industry standardisation
