THE FIRST STAGE OF THE VIETNAM-CHINA HIGH-TECH STUDY TRIP TO SHENZHEN
Learning from the Model: Why Choose Shenzhen, China?
Shenzhen is located in the south of Guangdong Province, China, covering an area of 1,997 km² with a resident population of 17.68 million. It is the city with the highest intellectual level in China and a symbol of reform and opening-up. As a frontline of China's reform, Shenzhen has an average population age of only 33, making it the youngest city in China.
Shenzhen is home to 3.94 million business entities, 535 listed companies domestically and internationally, 10 Fortune 500 companies, and 18,600 national high-tech enterprises. Over the past decades, Shenzhen has experienced rapid economic growth, especially in high-tech. It is China's technology innovation hub and has become a globally significant center of technological innovation.
Shenzhen has witnessed the rise of major corporations, from giants like Ping An, Vanke, ZTE, Huawei, and Overseas Chinese Town, to global leaders such as Tencent, BYD, DJI, and Han's Laser. New faces such as Mindray Medical, Skyworth, TCL, and Luxshare Precision have also emerged, overcoming challenging technological barriers and creating proprietary breakthroughs.
This technology sector study program includes on-site visits to high-tech companies with significant influence in China, particularly in Shenzhen. We aim to foster precise connections, discuss collaboration opportunities, engage in direct dialogues with company management to expand our vision and enhance our capabilities, explore leading research and innovation in technology labs, and uncover future trends and investment opportunities in the high-tech sector.
