Experience in Distributing IZUMIO Hydrogen Water in the Vietnamese Market

Japanese Hydrogen Water Solutions for Healthcare

On the afternoon of January 19, 2026, at Hydrogen World Café, the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), in collaboration with Hydrogen World, organized a thematic roundtable titled “Applications of Hydrogen in Healthcare and Rehabilitation.” The event aimed to introduce scientific research and practical applications of hydrogen in the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on studies and real-world experience originating from Japan.

The program sought to provide an overview of the role of hydrogen in supporting medical treatment, functional rehabilitation, and improving quality of life in the context of modern medicine. In addition to presenting scientific foundations, the roundtable emphasized clinical experience in treatment and recovery, featuring real application cases shared by physicians and experts working in the field of health-related hydrogen. Through these presentations, participants gained access to practical evidence illustrating the potential effectiveness of hydrogen in healthcare and human health support.

One of the core objectives of the event was to connect experts, researchers, physicians, businesses, and community members interested in hydrogen for health, thereby creating a professional forum for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and the promotion of cooperation in hydrogen research and application in Vietnam. Participants also had the opportunity to experience hydrogen-related devices firsthand, including hydrogen-rich water and hydrogen inhalation equipment, allowing for a clearer understanding of operating mechanisms and the potential for daily-life applications.

The roundtable brought together numerous respected experts, scientists, and physicians in the fields of hydrogen and healthcare. Notable participants included Mr. Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC), and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tam, Vice Chairman of VAHC, representing strategic orientations for hydrogen research and development in Vietnam. Scientific and academic perspectives were further contributed by Dr. Cao Thuy Oanh, representing the VAHC R&D Group, and Dr. Tran Thanh Tam, Deputy Head of the Department of Scientific Research and External Relations at Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment.

The program also welcomed Mr. Vo Dai Nghiem, Head of the VAHC Natural Hydrogen Group; Dr. Nhu Duc Thang, Department of Rehabilitation, Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2; and Mr. Nguyen Thieu Son, an independent researcher in hydrogen healthcare and Founder of Hydrogen World. The participation of these speakers and guests helped create a multidimensional dialogue linking scientific research, clinical practice, and practical applications of hydrogen in healthcare.

Within the framework of the roundtable, Ms. Ho Thi Bich Phuong, representing UNP Healthcare Vietnam, the official distributor of IZUMIO products, delivered a presentation focusing on oxidation processes and their role in aging and human health, while also sharing practical experience in the application and distribution of hydrogen solutions—particularly IZUMIO hydrogen-rich water—in the Vietnamese market.

According to Ms. Phuong, oxidation is a natural biological process that continuously occurs in the human body, closely associated with metabolism and strongly influenced by environmental factors such as pollution, stress, and modern lifestyles. When free radicals are produced in excess and exceed the body’s regulatory capacity, oxidative stress occurs, leading to cellular damage, declining organ function, and being recognized as a major contributor to premature aging and the development of many chronic diseases.

In her presentation, Ms. Phuong also discussed the relationship between oxidation and body fat, particularly visceral fat, which directly affects overall health. An increase in visceral fat not only reflects metabolic imbalance but is also closely associated with oxidative stress and the gradual decline of physiological functions. From this perspective, controlling oxidative stress was emphasized as a fundamental pillar of proactive and long-term healthcare strategies.

Based on this scientific foundation, Ms. Phuong introduced hydrogen-rich water (HRW) as a potential selective antioxidant support solution. Hydrogen is considered capable of neutralizing harmful free radicals without interfering with essential physiological reactions. The use of hydrogen-rich water is therefore believed to have the potential to support cellular protection, reduce oxidative stress, slow the aging process, and improve quality of life.

Ms. Phuong also shared practical experience in distributing IZUMIO hydrogen water in Vietnam, including approaches to consumer engagement, real-world feedback from users, and both opportunities and challenges encountered during market development. According to her, alongside the growing trend toward proactive health management, hydrogen-based health products are gradually attracting increased attention from the community, opening significant development potential when implemented on a solid scientific basis with transparent information.

At the conclusion of the roundtable, Ms. Phuong’s presentation helped clarify the role of hydrogen in healthcare while strengthening connections between scientific research, clinical practice, and real-world application. Through the exchange of knowledge, experience, and practical insights, the program is expected to contribute to greater public awareness, promote hydrogen applications for health, and open new avenues for cooperation in the future.

Following the roundtable, the organizing group plans to seek approval to conduct a clinical hydrogen treatment pilot project at Central Psychiatric Hospital No. 2, under the leadership of Dr. Nhu Duc Thang.
