About CPECC

 

 

 

China Power Engineering Consulting Group (“CPECC” for abbreviation), a state-owned company, was established in May 2018 by incorporating 6 regional design institutes affiliated to China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. and 14 provincial design institutes affiliated to China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of RMB 10 billion yuan (≈USD 1.5 billion). It is a wholly- owned subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd.(CEEC).

 

At present, CPECC has 25 subsidiaries, which include 23 domestic electric power design, survey and engineering consulting companies, as well as 2 Spanish design companies (EA&GHESA).

 

Structure of CEEC

 

 

Development History

 

1950: The Northeast China Electric Power Design Institute was established, which is the first electric power survey and design institute of the People's Republic of China

1954: The predecessor of the company, the Design Management Bureau of General Administration of Electric Power Industry of Fuel Industry Ministry was established

1975 :The predecessor of the company, Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Water Conservation and Electric Power (Planning and Design Management Bureau) was established

1998: Electric Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. was established on the former basis

2003 : China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. was founded

2011: It became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the newly established China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd

2014: It was restructured into China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd

2018: It became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the newly established China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd

The Hai Duong Coal-Fired Power Plant Project in Vietnam was developed in the form of investment, construction and operation by CPECC, with total installed capacity of 1200MW, and total amount of investment of 1.87 billion USD.
