CHA and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club Announce MOU Signing
TORONTO/HCMC, ON JUNE 6 2024 – The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement will strengthen collaboration in the development and deployment of zero-emission hydrogen solutions.
This exciting venture marks a significant step towards fostering international cooperation in the hydrogen sector. The MOU outlines various areas for collaboration between Canadian and Vietnam ASEAN stakeholders. This partnership will create a mutually beneficial environment for knowledge exchange and capacity building, including:
-
Sharing industry reports, educational materials, and best practices.
-
Exchanging information on government policies, regulatory frameworks, and incentives relevant to hydrogen.
-
Co-organizing seminars, webinars, and networking events in Vietnam and Canada to connect government, industry, and research communities.
Both organizations recognize hydrogen’s critical role in a low-carbon future and will collaborate on clean hydrogen procurement and hydrogen-based energy solutions.
“We look forward to partnering with our colleagues at VAHC to advance the hydrogen economies in our respective countries,” says Nicolas Hilario, Interim President and CEO of CHA. “This is an immense opportunity to increase trade within the ASEAN context, as we share many similarities in our energy and transportation sectors. Sharing best practices will be mutually beneficial.”
CHA is the first hydrogen association that we have partnership in the American continent. We will enhance collaboration with CHA to promote hydrogen technologies, project development, joint seminars and sharing knowledge to build strong hydrogen communities in Vietnam, ASEAN and Canada, toward our Asia Pacific net-zero journey, say Le Ngoc Anh Minh, Chairman of VAHC
