The Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) respectfully invites partner associations, members, and partners in the hydrogen, energy, environment, and carbon credit sectors to register for presentations at our International Workshop:
“H₂ Technology Solutions in Vietnam's Sustainable Development Roadmap for Agriculture, Environment, and Carbon Market”

1. Context – Strategic Opportunities for Investors and International Partners
June 2026 marks two historic milestones in Vietnam's energy and environmental policy:
First, the Vietnamese Government officially launched the domestic carbon exchange, under the legal framework of Decree No. 29/2026/NĐ-CP dated January 19, 2026 on the domestic carbon exchange. The Decree comprehensively regulates the registration, coding, transfer of ownership, custody, trading, and settlement of greenhouse gas emission allowances and carbon credits. Vietnam will pilot the carbon exchange from now through 2028 before formal operation begins in 2029. The global carbon credit market is projected to reach $24 billion by 2030 – and Vietnam is positioning itself to capture a significant share.
Second, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 21/2026/QĐ-TTg dated April 30, 2026 designating green hydrogen as a national strategic technology product. Accordingly, "Systems for the production, storage, transport, and distribution of green hydrogen and biofuels" are now among the priority strategic technology products, effective from July 1, 2026.
This is the ideal time for international businesses, organizations, and investors to enter Vietnam's emerging clean energy and carbon credit market.
2. About the Workshop
This international workshop is co-organized by the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC) in partnership with a prestigious Vietnamese university, continuing the annual collaboration to promote research, application, and development of the hydrogen industry in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
The event will feature speeches and participation from representatives of diplomatic missions and international cooperation agencies, along with a wide range of experts, policymakers, and enterprises from Vietnam, Europe, and Asia.
This is an opportunity for stakeholders to update on new policies and international cooperation mechanisms in hydrogen, carbon credits, and sustainable development; share experiences and H₂ technology solutions in agriculture, environment, and circular supply chains; connect businesses, researchers, and international organizations; and propose roadmaps for carbon market and clean energy development in Vietnam.
