ASEE-ASEAN Smart Energy &Energy Storage Expo 2027 | March 17-19

The ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo 2026 (ASEE 2026), held in Bangkok from March 25–27, concluded with record-breaking growth in scale, international participation, and buyer engagement, reinforcing its position as one of the leading energy events in Southeast Asia.
Covering 12,800 sqm, the exhibition hosted more than 360 exhibitors—three times the previous edition—with a significant increase in global brands and international participants. Buyer attendance reached 13,800 visits, while over 100 global organizations expressed support, highlighting the expo’s expanding international influence.

The opening ceremony brought together senior representatives from ASEAN energy agencies, international organizations, and leading corporations. Speakers emphasized the expo’s role not only as a trade platform but also as a catalyst for regional cooperation, innovation, and sustainable energy development.
Throughout the three-day event, exhibition halls remained highly active, showcasing key technologies driving the energy transition. These included battery energy storage systems (BESS), integrated solar-plus-storage solutions, energy management systems, biomass equipment, and wind energy technologies. Major brands such as Jinko, LONGi, Growatt, GoodWe, and ABB, alongside regional players, demonstrated a diverse and mature technology ecosystem.
A major highlight was the effectiveness of the VIP Buyer Matchmaking Zone, which facilitated over 100 targeted B2B meetings involving buyers from Malaysia, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, and other markets. Exhibitors reported high-quality engagements, including concrete project opportunities, procurement inquiries, and ongoing negotiations.

The ASEAN Smart Energy Summit, held alongside the exhibition, featured 23 speakers from government agencies, industry associations, and global companies. Discussions covered regional energy policy, market strategies, energy storage technologies, wind power development, and smart energy solutions, offering comprehensive insights into the evolving energy landscape.
Specialized forums further enriched the program. The ASEAN wind energy session addressed offshore and onshore development opportunities and challenges, while the AI + Energy Forum explored the integration of artificial intelligence into energy systems, including applications in grid optimization, storage efficiency, and data center energy infrastructure.

Overall, ASEE 2026 highlighted a clear shift in the ASEAN energy market—from early-stage adoption toward large-scale deployment, with increasing emphasis on system integration, digitalization, and regional collaboration. The event has evolved beyond a traditional exhibition into a comprehensive platform for technology exchange, business matchmaking, and strategic dialogue.
