240 MW Green Hydrogen Project in Khanh Hoa Province Seeks Investment and Technology Partners
Khanh Hoa, Vietnam – 26 February 2026 – A 240 MW Green Hydrogen Plant is under lobbying, by a petroleum distributor who have more than 100 petroleum stations across Vietnam, in Khanh Hoa Province, marking a significant step in Vietnam’s National Hydrogen Strategy (Decision 165/QD-TTg, 2024).
The project will utilize hybrid renewable energy (wind and solar), with expected annual production of 80,000–110,000 tons of green hydrogen. Estimated total investment ranges from USD 370–520 million, with a minimum 20-year operating life.
The hydrogen output will serve domestic industries including refining, chemicals, fertilizers, green steel, and LNG-to-hydrogen blending power plants, while targeting export markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore.
The project developer is currently finalizing licensing procedures in accordance with Vietnamese regulations and is a strategic partner of the Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club (VAHC).
Detailed technical and financial information will be shared upon execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
